Consul General Pan Qingjiang meets with the Police Commissioner of Gauteng Province

On 26th October, 2025, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, Consul General of China in Johannesburg, met with Lt. Gen. Mthombeni, Gauteng Police Commissioner.

Mr. Pan commended SAPS Gauteng’s recent work on criminal cases against Chinese nationals and urged the police department to further strengthen relevant law-enforcement efforts. Lt. Gen. Mthombeni stressed SAPS Gauteng’s commitment to maintaining the safety and legitimate rights of the Chinese personnel and institutions in the province. The two sides exchanged views on local security situation and the precautions to be strengthened.
