Deputy Consul General Qu Boxun attended the Opening Ceremony of "Art & Peace - Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Works of Art" on 7th, November, 2019. He cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony together with Mr. Zhou Yong, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa, Ms. Tao Qin, Vice Chairman of China Art Association, Mr. Vuyisile Mshudulu, Head of Department of Arts and Culture in Johannesburg, and Mr. Zola Mtshiza, Head of African Museum. After that, he visited the exhibition after the open ceremony.

This art exhibition is organized by China Art Association. Over 40 pieces of art works by Chinese artists were displayed in the exhibition, showing the landscape and local customs of various countries along the "Belt and Road". A lot of local celebrities and people from art, cultures, history and other circles in Johannesburg visitied the exhibition with strong interest after the opening.
