On 6th November, 2019, Consul General Tang Zhongdong met with Mr. Shi Jiyang, President of China-Africa Development Fund (CAD) and Mr. Xu Ming, Director of Investment Bureau of China Development Bank Headquarter.

Mr. Shi and Mr. Xu briefed on their participation in the Second South Africa Investment Conference, the CAD Fund investment projects and future work plans in South Africa.

Mr. Tang warmly welcomed the delegation to this conference in Johannesburg. He gave a brief introduction on China-South Africa relations, South Africa's political and economic situation, current exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, Chinese investment and security situations in South Africa, and recent work done by the Consulate-General. He encouraged them to take measures to promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation so as to facilitate more economic cooperation between both countries.
