On July 14, 2026, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, Chinese Consul General in Johannesburg, joined Mr. Long Tiejun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Public Security of Hunan Province, to meet with Ms. Marie-Louise Moodie, Deputy Director General of the Office of the Premier of Gauteng and Mr. Roche Mogorosi, Head of Department of the Gauteng Department of Community Safety. The two sides exchanged views on implementing the Agreement of Friendship Provinces Relationship and MoU on Twinning Arrangement, further deepening mutual exchanges and cooperation including in the area of law enforcement.
